About the Role
The role of an online content creation tutor for Melio is to create materials in advance, which will be consumed by students asynchronously (in their own time) as part of a two week Melio online course.
Responsibilities
- Attend training sessions and undertake self-study to familiarise yourself with the course outline and online platform;
- Follow a pre-designed course framework to support your content design;
- Create a brief for the end of course independent work;
- Create a course syllabus of five or six topics (with guidance), which fits with the end of course independent work;
- Create a pre-course reading list, preparing students for the relevant topics;
- Create one hour of off-the-cuff style podcast materials on topics;
- Create written content for six topics (curated or newly authored);
- Create MCQs (multiple choice questions) for a test bank;
- Attend filming sessions organised by Bridgemark Education for any course video content and prepare for these sessions in advance in line with guidance provided.
Practical Details
Course materials must be delivered well in advance of the course start dates - exact deadline to be confirmed.
Briefing materials will be made available in advance and dates for training sessions will be communicated to you with at least 4 weeks’ notice.
Filming sessions will be confirmed in due course.

You do not need to live in Oxford, or in the UK, but you must be able to attend our training and induction sessions and must be available for filming sessions.
Rates of pay are competitive.
Throughout employment with us, we expect that our tutors ensure that all sensitive data is handled in accordance with GDPR regulations.
Accommodation and travel expenses are not included.
About You
- A passionate, qualified teacher or graduate student/academic staff with at least 1 year experience of teaching 16-17 year olds;
- Experience of (or interest in) delivering teaching within an online environment;
- Dedicated to delivering creative and engaging learning materials;
- Aware of the needs and requirements of teaching young learners;
- Experience working with speakers of other languages;
- Educated to Bachelors degree level or above in your chosen subject/s.
- Right to work in the UK (we cannot sponsor work visas)
