About the Role

We are working in partnership with a leading international school in Malaysia to deliver a 3 day conference that aims to deepen students’ understanding of a subject and give them an insight into studying at world-leading universities. 

We are looking for individuals who can engage students aged 15-18 with the subjects of Engineering; Maths; Politics or Law. You will be able to deliver high-quality seminar sessions which enable students to gain further understanding of the subjects, and what they could be like to study at university.

You will be an University of Oxford graduate who can provide insight into what it is like to study at this world renowned institution.



  • Attend training and induction sessions
  • Familiarise yourself with the conference outline 
  • Understand and adhere to our safeguarding policies and procedures
  • Prepare resources for seminar sessions
  • Plan seminar sessions using a given framework
  • Prepare a short presentation about your experiences of Oxford

During Conference 

  • Deliver seminar-style sessions for up to 20 students aged 15-18
  • Attend and participate in the orientation day including: welcome ceremonies, talks and a tour of the host school
  • Deliver a short presentation on ‘My Experience of Oxford’ 
  • Take part in a parent and student career fair 
  • Work in conjunction with our partners and host sites
  • Ensure students comply with school code of conduct and adhere to school policies 
  • Work with and support fellow tutors to deliver an engaging and high-quality academic experience


  • Complete feedback regarding your experiences of tutoring, your experience on the course and working internationally

Practical Details

  • Departure: late Sunday 28th June / early Monday 29th June
  • Orientation Day: Tuesday 30th June
  • Conference Dates: Wednesday 1st July- Friday 3rd July 2020. 
  • Return: late Friday 3rd July / early Saturday 4th July
  • Travel costs including flights, visas, vaccinations, accommodation and meals will be covered by the company.   

About You

  • A passionate Oxford DPhil student/graduate and/or Oxford academic staff 
  • Passionate about your subject 
  • Experience of and dedicated to delivering creative and engaging sessions for 15-18 year olds
  • Aware of the needs and requirements when teaching young learners
  • Experience working with students with English as a second language
  • Educated to Bachelor’s degree level or above in your chosen subject/s
  • Right to work in the UK (we cannot sponsor work visas)
